Cristina Martínez Ribas.Cristina is a maritime lawyer and has been a practicing lawyer of the Barcelona Bar Association since 1993, who in recent years has also specialised in port law. She has over 20 years experience in the maritime sector in a variety of positions and is therefore familiar with operational and administrative practices of port authorities, ship owners and companies operating in the port of Barcelona and other Spanish ports. She also has a wealth of experience in P&I having worked for nine years as a P&I Correspondent previously to her arrival at MedPandi. Cristina speaks Spanish, Catalan and English.
Valencia Office
Joan Giner. Joan has been working as a P&I correspondent in Valencia since 2001. He has wide experience in the shipping business, having worked previously in the agency side as an operations manager. He is well known and established in the local shipping community. Joan has a degree in business studies, and in 2002 he undertook the P&I insurance and loss prevention course organised by the North of England P&I. He served in the Spanish navy, and in 1983, as a tour of duty, sailed on the tall ship Juan Sebastian Elcano visiting ports in the US, Central America and the Caribbean. Joan speaks Spanish, Catalan and English, with conversational French and Italian.
Isabel Chiner. Isabel assists with claims and handles the administration. She speaks Spanish, Catalan and English.
